Today I give advice and answer questions from Facebook regarding when to start your first job search, what is the functional difference between certification exams and why I chose AANP, as well as, whether acute care experience is beneficial during your MSN program or helps in getting that first job. I also have a story about something that happened today at work and how I handled it to educate people about our profession. This was a fun podcast to make! I am wondering if you ever got any responses to your request for people to let you know if they heard of facilities mandating ANCC vs AANP. I really am leaning toward AANP, but don’t want to run into this problem in the future. I don’t see how anyone could legally discriminate, since both are legally recognized as certifying bodies for NPs. Thanks!
Nope. But you can join and search the Facebook groups. I have seen people say they were declined positions for this reason.
