On this episode of the NP Dude podcast I discuss a really fun exchange I had with an NP practice owner on Facebook regarding the possibility of utilizing the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as a means to expand the scope of practice for NPs. I mention an opinion from the FTC in the podcast and have provided a link to it below so you guys can take a look too! FYI…I think I called the FTC the Fair Trade Commission and was a slip up!
I also respond to a newer iTunes listener who has some great topics to discuss and start off with my thoughts on what I am calling health accountability of patients. Keep those shares and comments coming and spread the word about the show!

I just found your podcasts and will listen. I am frustrated that male voices seem to carry more weight socially and politically than females’ voices in a predominately female profession. (Males appear to hold a slightly higher percentage of NP positions than RN positions.
